The baton has passed? I'm not so sure Mr. Heaton.

I was listening to episode 47 on my drive to work this morning. Jason had just returned from diving with Sylvia Earle and commented that she was not just diving at age 82, but continuing to explore and adventure.

I fully expect to be listening to some young journalist publishing an interview of 82-year-old Jason Heaton from the deck of a dive boat during a surface interval.

Looking forward to it!

This sounds like it was a great experience and tons of fun! I can only imagine trying to get some quality shutter clicks while thousands and thousands of fish are eager to get their gills on Instagram as well. That, combined with the green water and random shadows from the fish/lights. Anywho... Cool story, rad group, gnarly fins, and stellar watch!

They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, which seems just fine because you've already got all the best tricks in the book! Looks like a good time, and I like the new FXD colorway!

“Watches meant to be worn in anger.” What a line!

If the baton maybe hasn’t been fully passed just yet, I would certainly agree that you have found a great team of runners coming up alongside.

It was genuinely a dream come true to join in on these exploits. A privilege I will never forget.

Don't doubt yourself, Jason. If you had been called to serve, you would have been found capable. It's the way you roll.

Great article Jason - what a great place and a great experience shared with many friends and new colleagues ! I understand from reading WOE that a couple of SEAL squadrons have been using that new FXD for a year now in anger and actually requested the specifications for this new model to meet their criteria ...

Sounds like an awesome trip, regardless of what the "true" purpose was. Watches are cool. The memories you made with yours, or me with mine, are even cooler!
