Loved this one. The quiet life of a remote dive watch reviewer. I second the Aqualand as one of the best of the year, too.

Thirded- I can't get that lume dial out of my head. May finally be time to pull the trigger.

This has me feeling all kinds of feelings. I had to go back and dig up all of the pictures from our honeymoon there 5 years ago. What a wonderful place. And I am excited about this mysterious new dive watch! Enjoy the trip!

Excellent dispatch, I truly enjoy these glimpses into another country. I hope the weather clears and it is wonderful diving! Also am joining the Aqualand chorus. Call me worried about the cruise ships, I can tell you what they've done to Key West in the last 20+ years, not good at all. Safe travels!

Wonderful dispatch, as always! As I slide into middle age, I grow more frustrated with the "progress" of little known spots I used to enjoy becoming more developed, more popular, etc. I can imagine the residents and visitors of the idyllic spots whose images now flood social media algorithms feel the same way. However, it just makes me want to travel further into the wild and find more outposts, just with fewer cruise ships or tour buses :)

Such a great read! It has me dreaming of a trip to the Caribbean and time in the water. We similarly go to the “family” islands, where the appeal is a kalik and an empty beach, where we can be our own lizard colony and bake away in the sun. But every time I read these dispatches I’m inclined to start diving.

Enjoy the rest of the trip. Can’t wait to hear about the new dive watch, too.

Thanks for the update on your trip!

Despite the weather, it sounds like it's been a lovely time.

Have you and Gishani considered finding another island for diving if Bonaire becomes too fancy and overcrowded in the future?

Super curious about what forthcoming swiss watch Jason is test-diving. (See what I did there?) My guess (which makes little to no sense and is mostly just wishful thinking) is that he embedded a hint earlier in the write-up when he used the worth "fathoms". One can dream.
